We’re a highly-experienced small team of former financial journalists. All of our team have experience not just as writers but also as editors, in two cases as senior editors with the Financial Times newspaper. Financial writing is our trade and our passion. We don’t do anything else. That means you can be confident that our copy and content will deliver the results that you need.
Since 1999, we have been copywriting, blogging, crafting thought leadership and writing annual reports for asset managers, banks, professional services firms and large industrial companies. We write about everything in finance – from ESG investing to trade finance, derivatives, bank balance sheets and billionaires.
Our financial expertise and writing creativity differentiates us. Clients trust us to field writers who can work well with executives at all levels of the company. We play key roles in marketing and communications projects.
Rupert was a financial journalist in the 1980s and 1990s with The Independent, International Herald Tribune and Institutional Investor magazine. After a brief period as a stockbroker, working on the London Stock Exchange trading floor, he worked as a financial journalist, specialising in original, off-diary stories specialising in corporate restructurings, the emerging shareholder activists, hedge funds and key developments in banking. In 1996, he co-founded Global Fund Analysis, an early hedge fund periodical that he edited for three years.
In 1999, he started the Clerkenwell Consultancy, offering financial journalism skills to the corporate world. Since then he has worked for some of the world’s largest banks and companies, writing everything from thought leadership papers and blogs, to annual reports, CEO speeches and corporate web sites.
Working as part of a small team, he edits all copy before it is sent to clients.
